Pay attention to when you have those negative feelings and what youare saying to yourself.
You can start turning it around by switching what you say into positive things. If you feed your brain whiny negative things then all you will get back is justifications. You will say, “this happens because…bla bla bla” or “this is true because…bla bla bla”. It can be a vicious cycle that will plagued your weigh loss plans.
When you catch your self saying something negative rephrase it to something like… “I have control over what I put in my mouth”. “I will master this and learn ways to lose weight”.
Sometimes it’s just rephrasing what you say and sometimes it may take a little more imagination to come up with something positive.
It may be difficult at first to think of or change your thoughts to positive statements but it will get easier as you work at it. Negative self talk is all too common, myself included. Poor feelings are a dead give away that there is mind chatter going on again.
