So you decided to start a weight training program and are excited and eager to build muscle mass and see your body transform into a tight, hard body as soon as possible.

A strong desire and motivation can help you through the times when you are feeling lazy. When you have one of these lazy days remember your desire and what it was that got you to start a weight training program. Having a strong desire will keep you motivated , strong and on track.


ONE THING TO REMEMBER BEFORE GETTING STARTED….

Don’t train too long and don’t over train. Just like being careful to stay committed and keep that strong desire alive also be careful not to put too much stress on your body by training too hard or too often.

Let your muscles rest a day before training again. Most fitness experts say to train no more then 3 days a week and no more than an hour at a time. The rest days are when your muscles grow and repair themselves.

Weight lifting exercises will stimulate the muscles to grow if your workouts are intense and if your progressing beyond your limits a little more each week. Remember like I said your muscles grow when they are resting.

When the muscles get enough rest time they will be ready to progress the next time you workout. They may not be ready otherwise.

If you are not progressing a little each week then you are probably not giving your muscles enough rest. Let them rest and you will be building muscle mass.
